The artist and maker behind A Bit Of Pretty

Hi, I'm Katie! I'm an artist, surface pattern designer, and the creative hands behind A Bit Of Pretty. I have a love for beautiful fabrics, pretty patterns, charming details, and just about anything that involves making something with my hands.

With a background in art, design, and photography, I've always loved finding new ways to bring my creative ideas to life. From painting flowers and designing fabrics to sewing, embroidery, and experimenting with new crafts, my creative interests are always growing.

A Bit Of Pretty was born from my love of making pretty things and wanting a little creative corner where I could share them all. I didn't want to limit myself to just one type of product or craft because, quite simply, I love creating whatever inspires me!

Here you'll find a little bit of everything — handmade pieces, beautiful fabrics, original designs, original art,  downloadable printables, embroidery files,  DIY templates, and creative projects. Some days I'm behind my sewing machine, other days I'm painting, designing patterns, or dreaming up my next project.

I'm also a wife and mama of four, creating from my little home studio in British Columbia, Canada. Between family life and all the everyday moments, you'll usually find me surrounded by fabric, thread, paint, and far too many creative ideas!

My hope is that A Bit Of Pretty becomes a place where you can find something lovely for yourself or your home, discover a new project to make, or simply feel inspired to create something beautiful.
